Seattle's Annual Pride Parade, Sunday June 29th
The parade will begin at 11:00 AM at 4rth and Union, and go north on 4rth and then 5th to Seattle Center. Groups will line up ahead of time on 4th between Union and University. Organizers expect each group will take about one hour to complete the walk, and that the overall parade will be about 2 1/2 hours long.
The Pride Parade is one of Seattle's most colorful celebrations. Prepare to be astonished and delighted! There is nothing like marching along and having people break into cheers and applause as they see a church banner, knowing that many of these folks have grown up being rejected and condemned by their own churches.
Open Doors Ministry Annual Auction, Saturday November 8th.
Saturday, November 8th is the Eigth Annual Gala Dinner Auction for Open Door Ministries, an extended ministry of the Northwest Washington Synod. It will be at the Brocky Center on South Seattle Community College Campus in West Seattle from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM. This community college is well known for its fine Culinary Department which will be serving the meal.
